Commentary: Raphael Warnock and the Georgia Democrats’ Anti-Police Agenda Puts Georgians in Danger

by Avion Abreu

Despite crime being up in major metropolitan areas, including Atlanta, law enforcement officers remain under attack by radical leftists and anti-police Democrats like Raphael Warnock and other Georgia Democrats.

Homicides in Atlanta are up for the “third straight year” with 87 homicides reported compared to 79 from this point in 2020.

This crime wave is at the forefront of the minds of many, including Black Americans. A recent survey from Pew Research revealed that crime was the top issue concerning Black Americans.

It’s why, despite Georgia Democrats like Raphael Warnock calling law enforcement officers “thugs,” 81% of Black Americans want to keep a strong police presence in their community.

However, Warnock and his anti-police pals responded to the growing crime wave in Atlanta by spending $4 million dismantling part of the city’s jail and turning it into a “diversion center.”

Like his friend Stacey Abrams, who proposed a felony-b-gone program that wipes away the records of violent convicts, Raphael Warnock is more focused on making life easier for convicts rather than making law-abiding Georgians safer.

Look no further than Warnock voting to send stimulus checks to prisoners.

However, Warnock has no need to fear his anti-police agenda. Warnock has taken over $600k out of his campaign war chest and spent it on personal security.

So, while Georgians are forced to deal with the consequences of Democrats’ anti-police agenda, Raphael Warnock doesn’t have to lose a night’s sleep over his safety.

The outrageous part is that things could still get worse. If Raphael Warnock is re-elected, Georgians could potentially watch Atlanta turn into New York City, where residents can be viciously attacked with a weapon and released from jail on the same day.

Raphael Warnock opposes cash bail and was a vocal supporter of ending the system.

In 2018, Warnock pushed the Atlanta city council to end its cash bail system, which later prompted an approximate 100% spike in released offenders failing to appear for their court dates.

Raphael Warnock’s record on crime is clear and Georgians are less safe because of it.

Fortunately, there is an alternative to Warnock’s radical agenda.

Herschel Walker is running to put a stop to Raphael Warnock and Georgia Democrats’ anti-police agenda.

Rather than dismantle jails, Herschel will stand with law enforcement and fight to ensure that they have the resources and funding they need in order to keep Georgians safe.

With Herschel Walker in the United States Senate, Georgians will be able to rest easy knowing that they have a fighter who will make their safety a priority.
